Originally designed when I noticed that my newborn son kept pushing his little toesies out of the closed cocoon, this one-of-a-kind Little Toesies Snuggler™ is part of my Spring Collection and features an opening at the bottom to show those little newborn toesies. This new style features my signature textured border in a coordinating color to the body and the trim around the hood opening. A unique removable tree branch button adorns the hood along with contrasting ties, and there is an option to close the bottom.
This completely seamless cocoon is made from two different but coordinating hand dyed and handspun yarns in shades of pink, orange, green, and blue and measures about 19" in length at rest (not stretched) and is approximately 6" wide. To close the bottom, simply untie the bow, pull the yarn pieces gently to close, and tie back into a bow. You can also completely remove the yarn pieces if you prefer the classic look of the original Snuggler. To give it that chunky look, this item is hand knit on large needles with soft 100% merino wool that was handspun in a super bulky thick and thin style.
The body of this cocoon is a shade of pink close to pale pink while the contrasting color at the base of the Snuggler and the hood are shades of pink, orange, green, and blue and include pale pink, tangerine, mint green, magic mint, honeydew, aqua, and a hint of seashell white throughout - great for Spring or anytime of the year and perfect for a newborn girl.
Due to the nature of handspun yarn, this cocoon needs to be hand washed in cool water and mild soap (no Woolite). Gently roll in a towel making sure you do not wring or twist. Lay flat to dry.
Please note that the Little Toesies Snuggler™ is intended ONLY as a photography prop. Please do not leave babies unattended while wearing this cocoon.
This particular handspun yarn is known as slub yarn. As such, it is not intended for heavy wear due to the delicate nature.
