This one-of-a-kind completely seamless hooded cocoon is part of my Inspired by Nature Collection and is reversible for a different textured look. The unique handmade pink organza flower blossom is removable and can be tied inside the cocoon or removed altogether. The cocoon is hand crafted from hand dyed and handspun soft and fluffy merino wool in beautiful shades of white, pink, and a touch of green for both the body and the framing around the hood opening - colors that cannot be exactly reproduced, making it truly a one-of-a-kind piece.
The cocoon measures about 18" in length (not stretched) and is approximately 6" wide. To give it that chunky look, this cocoon is hand knit on large needles with soft 100% merino wool that was handspun in a bulky thick and thin style.
The colors are shades of white, pink, and green and include beige, ivory, carnation pink, cherry blossom pink, and honeydew - great for anytime of the year and perfect for a newborn girl.
Due to the nature of handspun yarn, this cocoon needs to be hand washed in cool water and mild soap (no Woolite). Gently roll in a towel making sure you do not wring or twist. Lay flat to dry.
Please note that the Newborn Cocoon is intended ONLY as a photography prop and is recommended to be used with a diaper. Please do not leave babies unattended while wearing this cocoon.
This particular handspun yarn is known as slub yarn. As such, it is not intended for heavy wear due to the delicate nature.
